The "NY-Phil-Balt-DC Hyperloop" Could Soon Be Reality
Elon Musk and The Boring Company is working with an as-yet-unnamed firm to build a line between New York City and Washington, DC, with stops at Philadelphia and Baltimore -- the "NY-Phil-Balt-DC Hyperloop."
The spot where they are beginning to work is at 53 New York Avenue NE in Washington's trendy NoMa neighborhood. The Hyperloop system uses pods that carry passengers and cars between cities at nearly 800 mph in a tube with a partial vacuum. If the Boring Company proceeds with construction, the first phase would be the Washington, DC to Baltimore line.
