THE CELEBRITY 100: The World’s Highest-Paid Entertainers
Forbes released their annual list of the world's highest-paid celebrities today. The newly published edition of The Celebrity 100 list ranks all the celebrities using their pretax earnings, running from June 1, 2017, to June 1, 2018. The total in earnings are estimates based on numbers from a variety of sources and doesn't take into consideration fees for managers, lawyers, and agents.
There’s never been a better time to be famous. The world’s 100 top-earning entertainers pulled in a combined $6.3 billion pretax over the past 12 months, up 22% from last year; eleven superstars crossed the $100 million thresholds, more than double the number from the last two years combined.
Floyd Mayweather topped the list with $285 million. Kylie Jenner comes in third with $166.5 million with her sister Kim coming in at #30 with $67 million. Lebron James ($85.5 million), Steph Curry ($76.9 million) and Jay-Z ($76.5 million) come in at numbers 17, 24 and 25 respectively.
Meanwhile, Sean 'Diddy' Combs comes in at No. 32 with $64 million, and Beyoncé Knowles sits comfortably at No. 35 with $60 million. The rest of the list, however, does feature some surprises. Kendrick Lamar has had a huge year from the sounds of things, coming in at No. 37 with $58 million. The Weeknd arrives at No. 39 with $57 million, while fellow Canadian Drake is at No. 53 with a whole $10 million less.
Rihanna also made the list with $37.5 million at No. 84, and J. Cole made a splash at No. 93 with $35.5 million. Dave Chappelle, Dr. Dre, and Nas round out the list tied at No. 98 with $35 million.
