Beats By Dre PowerBeats Wireless Headphones Set To Release In April

Apple is set to release the second generation of their AirPods and with that Apple-owned Beats By Dre is set to release an update to its PowerBeats line as well.

According to CNET, a reliable source has revealed that in April, a totally wireless version of the PowerBeats will be coming out. As with its previous game plan, the new PowerBeats are expected to feature Apple’s newest H1 chip — also found in the AirPods 2 — which will allow an always-on Siri voice-assistant, as well as better Bluetooth connectivity and battery life for the earphones. For consumers hoping for better bass quality, water resistance, or just a more secure design in keeping earphones on the ear, the new PowerBeats may be the best option.

The announcement is expected to be made sometime in April, but there is currently no news on its retail price. Given that the previous PowerBeats retailed for $200 USD, CNET predicts that the cost of the new pair could range from $200-$250 USD. Stay tuned for future updates.
